CHRISTIANS Against Poverty (CAP) is beginning a new ‘Fresh Start’ course on Monday (September 10) designed to help addicts to kick a life-controlling habit.

Based at Alton Maltings Centre, the eight-week course starts on September 10 and will be held each Monday from 7.30pm-9pm.

Designed to help tackle dependency on habits such as smoking, gambling, eating disorders, internet or social media addiction, shopping addiction, pornography, binge drinking or soft drugs use, the course is free and completely confidential.

Backed by a support group and one-to-one coaching, Alton CAP spokesman Mark Rumsby said: “It has already proven to work for people in more than 75 groups around the country.”
