Dementia Friendly Alton is launching a bid to further develop its popular and successful Flourish horticulture therapy programme for people living with dementia by extending the sensory garden in Alton’s Public Gardens.
The aim is to plant more insect-friendly shrubs and bulbs around its entire perimeter. The sensory garden is already an interesting and accessible walk for members but enhanced biodiversity would be enjoyed by all.
To support a grant application, Dementia Friendly Alton is holding a public consultation in the form of a questionnaire. It asks how people use the park and how they would like it developed.
It can be completed by using a link at www.dementia.friendly.alton.org.uk or it can be emailed from [email protected]
