IF YOU’RE finding it hard to prise the game controllers out of your kids’ hands during the lockdown, why not help them channel their favourite hobby to help a local good cause?
Phyllis Tuckwell’s Gaming for Good campaign asks computer game enthusiasts to get sponsored to take on a gaming challenge.
From attempting to complete a whole game in one sitting, to taking on a speed gaming challenge or even forming a team with friends and streaming a gaming marathon, participants can choose their challenge and pick when to complete it.
All the money raised will help Phyllis Tuckwell to provide supportive and end-of-life care for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness.
During the pandemic, Phyllis Tuckwell is anticipating increased demands on its services, as it supports the NHS in caring for local people.
At the same time, it has had to close its retail shops and cancel many of its fundraising events, impacting its income.
To find out more about Gaming for Good, and to request a fundraising pack, call Phyllis Tuckwell’s fundraising team on 01252 729446 or send an email to
