WITCHES, warlocks, ghosts and spiders filled Alton Assembly Rooms last Friday night for a children’s Hallowe’en disco.

Organised by Alton Community Centre, it wasn’t just fun for the tiny tots and pre-teens who arrived in a variety of spooky costumes, but also for their parents who donned fancy dress.

Mums and dads joined their children on the dance floor for the disco session and later the youngsters enjoyed coloured drinks and candy floss, plus a special hot dog treat laid on by the centre’s Regency Tearooms.

There was also a fancy dress competition for the different age groups with prizes and by 7pm it was time for the young people to vanish into the night.

The disco was organised by assistant manager Miranda Thompson-Webb and it not only provided a special “spooky evening” for the children but raised funds for the community centre.
