This is a particularly impressive achievement for such a small club as they were competing against all the established giants of Hampshire hockey such as Winchester, Fareham, Southampton and Haslemere, and it is testament to the quality coaching they receive from a group of dedicated volunteer coaches on Saturday mornings.
The girls scored 19 goals and conceded just two throughout last Sunday’s competition.
Congratulations go to Emily, Grace, Charlotte, Madeline, Eleanor, Monica, Lara and Tabitha who played their hearts out and who are pictured with Becky Chester and Anna Woodfine, who managed the team on the day, and Caroline Orange, the lead coach for the under-10 age group. The under-10 girls now go forward to the southern regional championships in May.
