VISITORS from near and far have been enjoying a series of open gardens recently.
As part of the National Gardens Scheme, last month saw Wheatley House, between Binsted and Kingsley, opened its doors to members of the public who were able to experience the “magnificent setting” as well as view local crafts and paintings.
There was also a chance to buy some plants and enjoy refreshments.
Also during the summer, East Worldham was the place to be for anyone who likes countryside settings and all things horticulture.
There was plenty to see when private homes ‘Selborne’, ‘Silver Birches’ and, for the first time this year, ‘The Cottage’ all welcomed guests into their gardens.
The National Gardens Scheme encourages people to open their gardens up to members of the public, all in the name of good causes.
