ANGRY residents have joined forces to fight a second application by Alton Golf Club to build what they see as an "instant village".

The outline application for 27 two-bedroom, single-storey holiday chalets in woodland fronting the Old Odiham Road is seen, by the club, as a way of securing the survival of its course.
