Perins School and Sun Hill Junior School in Alresford will receive fire safety and electrical improvements thanks to a £5.5 million grant to the Vita Multi Academy Trust from the government’s Condition Improvement Fund.

The trust has received a total of £12m from the fund. Previous projects included a new mathematics block and canteen, refurbishing science and technology blocks, replacing both schools’ roofs and adding two classrooms.

Vita has also spent money on solar panels, security fences and outdoor covered spaces.

Trust chief executive Steve Jones said: “We are delighted to have secured this latest round of funding, which enables us to continue delivering high-quality, safe and inspiring environments for our students and staff.

“This investment reflects our ongoing commitment to excellence in education and infrastructure.”
