A THIRTEEN-year-old from North Warnborough has swum a total of 13 miles in just two weeks in aid of the Disasters Emergency Committee Ukraine appeal – and he isn’t finished yet!
Harry Ebbs, a student at Robert Mays School in Odiham, set off to swim the length of the English Channel at Alton Sports Centre in mid-March, and hopes to complete the full 22 miles before Easter.
That’s a huge 1,416 lengths of the 25-metre pool!
Everyone Active has sponsored him with free membership for the duration of his challenge.
Harry said: “I’ve been watching the news recently and have been shocked to see so many Ukranians having to flee their homes to safety and I would like to do my bit to try to help them.”
Harry has already raised more than £800. Sponsor him at https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/Katherine-Ebbs
