Harry swims English Channel for Ukrainian refugees at Alton Sports Centre

A TEENAGER has finished his fundraising challenge to help Ukrainian refugees by completing the equivalent of swimming from England to France.

Harry Ebbs aimed to swim the width of the English Channel at its narrowest point by splashing his way through 1,416 lengths of the 25-metre pool at Alton Sports Centre – a total of 22 miles.

Harry, 13, who attends Robert May’s School in Odiham and lives in North Warnborough, had swum five miles by March 16 and ten by March 23, reaching his milestone on May 4 and raising £1,279. To boost his total visit www.justgiving.com/fundraising/katherine-ebbs
