PLANS are well advance for an autumn charity ball at Alton Maltings.

The Wear It Again event, on October 1, organised by Katherine Guenioui in aid of Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity and the Ally Cadence Trust for spinal Muscular Atrophy and will have a “wedding reception” theme. So guests are invited to wear wedding or bridesmaids’ dresses and mother of the bride/prom dresses, and so on, that they thought they would never get to wear again.

Katherine and her husband were supported by Sands after the stillbirth of their child, Brandon, in 2014, and have already raised more than £2000 for the charity.

“This year,” she said: “I wanted to invite others to participate, and the response has been amazing. I’ve connected with people I didn’t know prior to this venture.”
