NORTH Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group, Community First and East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) will be facilitating the inaugural meeting of the Alton Health and Wellbeing Partnership next week.

As part of the Alton Review carried out by North Hampshire Clinical Commissioning Group, it was recommended that a health and wellbeing partnership be established to provide an ongoing approach in addressing the health and wellbeing needs of Alton and surrounding villages.

The purpose of the group will be to focus on prevention and developing healthier communities.

A spokesman said: “This is a chance for interested parties and the voluntary sector to shape the partnership.”

The meeting will take place at Alton Commumity Centre next Wednesday, Febriary 14, from 10.30am-1pm. It will be headed by Tim Houghton, chief executive of Community First.
