HEALTH-conscious folk made a beeline for Alton Assembly Rooms on Saturday.
The occasion was this year’s Health Fest and it attracted more than 200 people.
New this year were health checks, which proved popular and were fully booked. In addition, glucose, blood pressure and lung function checks were all well attended.
A wide variety of charities took part in the event, including Dementia Care, Age Concern, Alton Lions, and Red Cross.
All aspects of healthy living were promoted and visitors were given top tips on how to look out for some of life’s nastier surprises.
East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds officially opened the event, with Wey Valley Radio on hand providing a live broadcast, interviewing organisers and stallholders.
