ENERGY Alton has flagged up the seasonal problem of mould, damp and condensation in a free fact sheet.

Energy Alton spokesman Chris Chappell said: “This is not an unusual problem, especially with such a wet winter. It’s difficult to dry the washing indoors, we can’t open windows because it keeps raining, and everyone is spending more time indoors.

“However tempting it may be to just look the other way, please don’t. Mould can be a serious health risk, especially for children, the elderly, or anyone prone to infections. But it can be avoided.”
