FOUR year 10 students at Eggar’s School - Neve Randall, Katy Henderson, Alice Graham and Amelia Cooper - organised a coffee morning in aid of Macmillan that saw the foyer filled with cakes galore, enjoyed by both visitors and students.
Alton depuy mayor Alan Chick, along with other members of the community, was also there to enjoy the overwhelming donations of cake, a true reflection of the spirit of the Eggar’s community.
Every cake was sold, along with refreshments, to many satisfied customers.
Through their generosity with donations and the lunchtime cake sale, the pupils raised £400.
A school spokesman said: “There are still some more donations to come in but this is an amount to be proud of for a very worthy charity, and one that is close to the hearts of many of our students and staff.”
