A CONTROVERSIAL planning application, due to be considered by East Hampshire District Council’s planning committee last Thursday, has been deferred.

An district council spokesman confirmed that the application to install a solar farm at land to the North of Cakers Lane, in East Worldham, will now be heard at a later date.

He explained that the plans (reference 55465/001) have attracted “some public interest”, so wanted people to be aware of the rescheduling.

It is thought to have been pushed back due to outstanding consultee comments.
