Proper enforcement of the lorry ban to stop HGVs passing through Farnham town centre is finally within reach.

Surrey County Council is consulting on it’s plan for using CCTV cameras to fine lorry drivers ignoring the ban on Odiham Road, Upper Hale Road, Folly Hill and Castle Street.

But the consultation closes this coming Friday, December 15.

So many people have worked hard to get the plan this far.

I’m now urging everyone who wants to stop lorries from using the town centre as a short cut to fill in the on-line survey today, or at the latest Friday 15th.

Heavy vehicles such as buses, dust carts, fire engines etc and others that can show a genuine reason to use these roads are exempt.

Please click here then scroll down and click through to the survey to share your views.

It takes only a couple of minutes to complete.  Thank you.
