ALTON library is the new home for the charity Christmas card shop, which for 15 years has been in the Tourist Information Centre.
Library staff have taken over the service following the closure of Alton's tourist office.
The cards are from 28 charities, each providing eight different designs.
Cards for Good Causes, the UK's largest multi-charity Christmas card organisation, provides the cards and the shop will trade until December 22.
The library on Vicarage Hill is open six days a week from 9.30am, closing on Mondays at 5pm, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays at 7pm, on Wednesdays at 1pm and on Saturdays at 4pm.
All the charities will receive 79p in every £1 from the card sales.
Regional organiser, Judith O'Sullivan, said: "The library staff have been very welcoming and are enthusiastic to be selling the charity Christmas cards this year."
Cards for Good Causes operate a national network with more than 350 shops.
The Charities receive at least 79p in every £1 from their card sales out of which they have to pay for the production and distribution of their cards and any VAT.
Last year the charities received over £5 million from Cards for Good Causes for their Christmas card sales.
Sending charity Christmas cards helps to raise much-needed funds for the organisations, which can then be used throughout the year to help finance day-to-day costs or special projects.
