A MAN was airlifted to Southampton General Hospital with serious neck, back and arm injuries after a head-on collision on the A339 at Shalden last Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the scene of collision between a white Renault Trafic van and a blue Dacia Duster at around 1.30pm.
The Dacia ended up in a ditch, trapping its male driver who had to be freed by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service crews.
A female with minor injuries was taken to the same hospital by road and the male driver of the van was treated for minor injuries and discharged at the scene.
The road was closed for several hours.
