A middle-aged man suffered life-threatening injuries following a serious collision between Alton and West Meon last Friday, May 10.

Part of the A32 was closed for several hours after a white Peugeot 208 and a white Ford Transit came into collision around a mile south of East Tisted.

The accident took place near the Petersfield Road staggered crossroads around 3.40pm.

Hampshire & IoW Air Ambulance attended with the 51-year-old Peugeot driver being taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries. The Transit driver suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital by ambulance.

Hampshire Police have begun an investigation and would like to hear from witnesses or motorists who may have been in the area at the time of the accident.
