LIPHOOK-based company Meetoo was acknowledged by the education community with an award for further and higher education digital services at the 2018 Bett Awards.
The Meetoo team was ecstatic to have been chosen as winners by the judging panel, comprised of education professionals and ICT experts.
The Bett Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise excellence, creativity, innovation and development in technology for the education sector.
Speaking about Meetoo, a representative from the panel of judges said: “This service allows for interactive and innovative approaches to pedagogy. Importantly, it keeps the teacher at the heart of the students’ learning experience and could transform lectures by engaging all students and thereby potentially enabling increased attainment.
Jon Fowler, chief executive at Meetoo, said: “The Meetoo team is honoured and delighted to be recognised by the education community in this way. In higher education there is a sharpening focus on knowledge retention and engagement in lectures; on the provision of a platform for uninhibited student-teacher feedback and on giving even the more hesitant students a voice.
“With the help of valuable feedback from Meetoo users working in education, we have great things planned for 2018.”
Meetoo works with some of the UK’s most well-known universities to engage more students through interaction, from induction sessions all the way through to live theatre in medical education.
Meetoo also supports and encourages engagement and participation through live polling and question and answer sessions, promoting an inclusive learning environment in seminars and lectures.
