SAINSBURY'S Sport Relief Mile went off with a bang in Alton on Sunday as crowds of people gathered in Anstey Park to run one, three or six miles for the charity.

It was organised by Alton and District Youth Council and 3rd Alton Scouts and the runners were sent on their way by Alton town crier Stan Whitcher and town councillor Atul Patel.
