DAMIAN Hinds, the MP for East Hampshire, has welcomed the news that crime in the district has fallen by eight per cent year-on-year and by 11 per cent within Hampshire.

Tens of thousands of ultra low emission vehicles registered in Hampshire – as campaigners group call for more equal access across UKThese latest figure mean that overall crime has fallen by more than a quarter (30 per cent) since 2010, according to the Independent Crime Survey for England and Wales.
“Above all else this is testament to the exceptional dedication of our local police who put themselves in harm’s way to keep the rest of us safe,” said Mr Hinds (pictured).
“But every crime has a victim and we must never be complacent about falling crime and all continue to work with the police in the invaluable work that they do – on education, prevention, and disrupting and apprehending criminals.”
