THE?Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is targeting newly-qualified and experienced nurses and therapists with a recruitment event next week.

A number of opportunities in a wide range of specialties and at various levels are currently available across the Trust, which runs Basingstoke and North Hampshire Hospital, Royal Hampshire County Hospital at Winchester, and Andover War Memorial Hospital.

To take place at The Ark, North Hampshire Hospital at Basingstoke between 10am and 1pm on Tuesday, January 30, the nursing and therapy careers recruitment fair is open to nurses and therapists interested in advancing their careers at Hampshire Hospital.

Donna Green, chief nurse at Hampshire Hospitals, said: “I’m really looking forward to this event and meeting nurses and therapists who, like us, are passionate about patient care.

“People coming along will get the chance to look around some of our wards, hear about what we offer to preceptorship nurses, and talk about how they would like to progress their careers.

“We have a really wide range of opportunities available across the Trust and lots that we can offer nurses and therapists looking to make a change. We offer flexible shifts and give our nurses the chance to add to their skills and experience base by rotating between wards and departments.”

And he added: “There are also lots of opportunities to progress at Hampshire Hospitals and every ward is led by an experienced clinical matron. They spend the majority of their time working clinically, passing on their skills to the next generation of nurses.”
