NINE people were injured in at nine-vehicle crash on the A325 at Bordon on Tuesday morning which closed the road and left traffic tailing back on the A3 for several hours.

The accident happened at 11.25am at the junction with Petersfield Road and Blackmoor Road and the vehicles involved were five cars, three vans and a lorry and some had to be recovered.

Police and a large Hampshire ambulance team, plus a crew from Surrey, were soon on the spot and helping the injured from their vehicles.

Nine people were treated on the spot but six of them were later taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital at Guildford, with injuries described as "not life threatening". The A325 re-opened around 2pm.
