Bringing office businesses into The Shed in Bordon is another step towards fulfilling the vision of it being a multi-purpose venue, says the Whitehill & Bordon Regeneration Company.

Project lead James Child was speaking about The Shed’s new mezzanine level, the home of 13 small firms which have begun moving into their plush premises in SiGNAL@The Shed.

He said: “We are delighted with the way the mezzanine has turned out and the team at SiGNAL have done an amazing job finding great local businesses to occupy the office space.

“The Shed was conceived to be a multi-purpose facility, blending work, leisure and community togetherness to create a unique venue for East Hampshire. We already had food, drink, music, theatre, comedy, shopping and beauty. It’s brilliant to be able to add 13 local businesses who will, day in, day out, be plying their trade on the upper floor.”

Emma Selby, managing director of local business networking, training and services provider SiGNAL, said: “For a successful business community, it is essential that business owners have a place to connect and an environment that supports collaboration.

“SiGNAL@The Shed is going to be a really exciting new business community for Bordon and we are really looking forward to introducing everyone next week and seeing what new partnerships come about as a result.”

A regeneration company spokesperson added: “We have pledged to create one local job for every new home built. All efforts towards facilitating and supporting the emergence of small businesses is a significant part of fulfilling this promise and creating a legacy of opportunity and aspiration for generations to come.

“These new office premises are another valuable asset for what has become a thriving small business community in Prince Philip Park and the wider Whitehill & Bordon area.”
