Christmas trees are being sold by 8th Alton Scouts to help them buy a new minibus.

Ian Dane, lead volunteer at 8th Alton Scouts, said: “We absolutely love supplying the community with trees - it brings everyone together and helps fund the adventures our Scouts go on throughout the year.

“Our minibus has served us well, but it’s certainly showing its age. Every tree we sell brings us a step closer to replacing it and making sure our young people can continue exploring, learning and having fun.”

Trees can be ordered at www.8thalton-trees.org.uk/, with delivery or collection on December 6. The Scouts will help carry trees and they also offer Christmas tree recycling.

One Scout said: “You get to help people and it feels really Christmassy.”
