The 440 Theatre company is presenting an outdoor Shakespeare double bill of Romeo & Juliet and Hamlet at The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon tonight (Sunday) at 7pm.

Stripping the narrative to its core, 440 Theatre keeps the essence of Shakespeare’s words alive to help his magnificent stories shine at the heart of its shows.

It is so named because four actors deliver exciting, engaging and energetic pieces of theatre in 40 minutes. Their work is playful but never lacks focus.

Act One sees the 440 team wrestle with a side-splitting comedy version of Romeo & Juliet followed by an even more outrageous female-led Hamlet in Act Two.
