Panto season is starting two months late in Headley – but an improved show is promised after the delay.

Covid fears in January postponed Headley Theatre Club’s version of Sleeping Beauty and it will now be staged tomorrow (Friday), Saturday and on March 18 and 19.

Thanks to the extra rehearsal time, author-director Jo Smith said: “It will now be better than ever.”

Pictured are King Harold, Princess Rose and Queen Matilda, played by Martin Wellen, Annaliese Farnlucher and Karina Farnlucher.

Jonathan Neil is wicked fairy Belladonna, and the senior chorus includes Maggie Farnlucher, Anne Flanagan, Angela Berry and Shirley Wellen.

There are shows in Headley Village Hall at 8pm each night and there is also a matinee performance at 2.30pm on Saturday.

For tickets, priced £8 (concessions £5) visit Tina’s Hair in Headley High Street or www.headley-village/drama
