EAST Hampshire planners have granted permission for the replacement of timbers and brickwork to refurbish the cafe terrace at Alton Maltings Centre.

They have also approved new seating and hardstanding with a smoking shelter east of the car park.

The application also allows for the removal of timber posts to the south of the car park entrance, the movement of parking bays and entrance signs, and the addition of a cycle storage area to the cafe terrace.
