PLANNING committee members of East Hampshire District Council rejected a proposal to build four houses on former gardens in Medstead by six votes to five last Thursday night.
The application by the William Lacey Group was for land behind 2-4 Willowfield in Watercress Way and planning officers had recommended approval.
Resident and objector Richard Phillips said: “It is believed that the developer may go to appeal as they have a history of doing so.
“A moratorium on planning applications in certain areas has been published. This is due to phosphor discharge.
“Our area may be affected.”
