A SPELLBINDINGLY beautiful ghost story about time, love and hope from the creator of Peter Pan is coming to The Phoenix Theatre and Arts Centre in Bordon.

In Mary Rose, which was written by J M Barrie, an old Sussex manor house, standing empty and for sale, is haunted by the ghost of a young woman who once lived there.

Mary Rose, a 12-year-old girl on holiday with her parents, disappears but returns after a month unaware she had been away for any length of time. The same happens when she is married with a baby son. This time she comes back after 23 years – and hasn’t aged.

A spokesperson said: “Mary Rose, spanning a period of over 30 years, will leave you spellbound by its mystical nature and moved by its deepest yearnings to be reunited with the ones we love, and offering a message of hope.”

The play is on March 8 at 7.30pm. For tickets, priced £14 (concessions/members £13), visit www.phoenixarts.co.uk
