ALTON Community Association Playgroup turns 40 on Saturday - and an invitation goes out to any former staff, parents and children of the playgroup to help celebrate the occasion.

Based at Alton Community Centre, the playgroup will be opening its doors from 10.30am to 2pm for an open day to which prospective parents and carers of children from aged 18 months to five years are also invited.

Over the last 40 years, the Alton Community Association Playgroup has been providing safe, stimulating and affordable childcare and is currently rated Grade 1 for ‘outstanding’ childcare by Ofsted, helping to prepare countless children for their transition to ‘big school’.
