A COURAGEOUS have-a-go shopper, who carried out a citizens arrest on a sex offender, has received an accolade from Hampshire Constabulary.

She has also received a reward in court for her public spirited action.

Jane Gothard was congratulated by Chief Superintendent Mark Chatterton, commander of the Northern Policing Area, at a ceremony last Monday, for helping to uncover a sex offender.
