THE body of a young woman has been recovered from beneath a railway bridge, just off the A31 at Four Marks.

Police received a report shortly before 10pm on Good Friday that the body of a woman had been found beneath the bridge, on the Mid Hants Watercress steam line, in Boyneswood Road.

The cutting is deep at this point and the assumption locally is that the girl jumped from the bridge onto the line, but this has not been confirmed.
