GREEN activists have slammed East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds over his voting record on environmental issues.

Research by the Guardian newspaper claims that in 16 climate change votes between 2008 and 2018, Mr Hinds – who voted in only 13 after being elected in 2010 – voted environmentally just twice, claims Ian James of Liss, East Hampshire Green Party Joint Convenor.

He said: “His record on climate change shows he is not a fit representative for East Hampshire.”

But in response, Mr Hinds said it is “one of the greatest challenges ever faced, and a great deal more needs to be done”.
