HASLEMERE Town Council’s full council meeting had some unwelcome attendees last week, who took advantage of the council’s digital meeting ground.

Prior to the official start of the meeting, a gatecrasher began to share his screen through the Zoom platform – writing messages ‘Hi Guys’ and ‘Hacked’ across the screen.

At the time, town clerk Lisa O’Sullivan and Councillor Isherwood were the only members of the council in attendance, as well as a representative of the Herald.

The gatecrasher was promptly removed and the council was able to begin the meeting.
