The Mill, opposite Shottermill Pond in Haslemere, will be re-opening its doors next Wednesday (July 29).

As lockdown restriction ease, The Mill had made alterations to endure it is Covid secure.

Manager Imogen Lee said: “As expected, there are several changes to ensure the safest and most enjoyable time for our guests – and, indeed, our fabulous team.

“Our beautiful garden, which has been completely renovated during lockdown, seats 130 and we can accommodate 67 people inside, with social distance in place.

“There will be regular sanitising and Covid-19 awareness training has been given to all staff.”

The pub’s opening times have been changed to Wednesday to Sunday and booking ahead, either by phone or online, is recommended as capacity is limited to up to six people per table.

A host will meet and greet at the door and it is table service only – or customers can download the Wadworths app to pay and order in advance.

Children must stay with parents at all times as the playground is closed and dogs must stay on the lead.

There is a reduced menu, offering pub classics, plus a bar snack menu. Only card, app or mobile payments will be accepted.

Imogen added: “We want everyone to relax and enjoy our hospitality in a safe and friendly environment. We can’t wait to welcome customers back to The Mill and be the hub of the local community once more.”
