WORK has begun to convert the Grade II Listed Ivy House and adjoining Oceanic House into a JD Wetherspoon pub.

Having secured a premises licence from East Hampshire District Council in October, the gastro-pub chain was granted planning permission for change of use from B1 offices to A4 public house on October 23.

The property is at the junction of Butts Road, High Street and Drayman's Way.
