THE Wey Bridge pub in Alton High Street walked away victorious last Friday from a premises licence review which sought to obtain a reduction in its late-night opening hours.
The review was called for by the Amery Hill Residents' Association, Street Action on Anti-social Behaviour and Sheila Betts florist, supported by more than 100 letters and a 500-strong petition, concerned about the level of noise, disruption and vandalism, felt to be a direct result of late-night drinking at the pub.
