PUB-going pooches can ‘eat for free’ at four pubs in Surrey and Hampshire, after Farnham-based pub group Red Mist Leisure formed a partnership with natural pet food company Naturo.

The ‘doggy menu’ was launched last weekend at The Duke Of Cambridge in Tilford, The Exchequer in Crookham village, The Stag at Eashing and The Cock in Headley village, and could be extended across Red Mist’s other pubs if the experiment is successful.

Owners wanting to give their pets a treat can pick from the special ‘Dogs Eat Free’ menu, where 100 per cent natural, succulent salmon and rice with vegetables, delicious duck and rice with vegetables or lovely lamb and rice with vegetables will see doggy diners leaving the pub with a wagging tail.

Complimentary Naturo baked dog treats will also be available from the bar, where Fido can enjoy liver brownies and liver and cranberry biscotti.

Red Mist Leisure managing director Mark Robson said: “We have always prided ourselves on being dog friendly and welcoming well-behaved dogs to our pubs.

“Many of our sites are located near popular walking routes and attract customers looking to enjoy the countryside with their four-legged companions. We are confident our new doggy menu will be a huge hit with our customers and their dogs.”
