The annual Royal Air Force photographic competition showcases the talent among military photographers who strive to capture the RAF story.

And this year’s contest is no different, with photographers snapping some special moments.

RAF Odiham photographer SAC Nicholas Egan has had his image ‘Money In The Bank’ selected to be put forward for the People’s Choice: Image of the Year 2016 award.

This category gives the public a vote on a “fantastic selection” of nine images showcasing the RAF’s work.

Nick’s image of a Mk4 Chinook operating over the Solent demonstrates the “immense capability” of the helicopter and pilot alike.
