IT wasn’t exactly the flaming June organisers had hoped for but Medstock still provided a fun-packed afternoon for the hardy folk who filled Medstead Primary School grounds at the weekend.

Organised by the Parent Teachers Association, Medstock offered some wonderful music last Saturday ranging from jazz and rock to pop and classical performances, starting with year six pupils who played a medley of tunes.

They were followed by Amery Hill School Band and the harmonious voices of the Holybourne Singers.

For the youngsters, one of the highlights was a bouncy slide as well as plenty of sports activities while their parents and friends enjoyed browsing through the arts and crafts section or finding bargains at the many stalls around the grounds.

There was also plenty of time to sample the range of food and drink on offer and, as a result, Medstock raised a whopping £4,000 for the parent teacher association which will be used for school projects.
