THE parish of Selborne received the report on a strategy last week, drawn up by street design and rural roads experts Hamilton-Baillie Assocs, to address its 'traffic nightmare'. Commissioned just over a year ago by Selborne Parish Council to devise a way of addressing traffic problems in the villages of Selborne, Oakhanger and Blackmoor, Ben Hamilton-Baillie had used the approach set out in his recently published Traffic in Villages – a toolkit for communities who are keen to recover their roads by developing approaches to traffic speed, safety and civility.
