MORE than 150 runners took part in the 31st Downland Challenge 10k and 5k trail runs on Sunday.
Setting off from Anstey Park, runners made their way onto London Road and through Holybourne where the 5k race split from the 10k, before both groups returned to the park after respective routes.
The 10k carried on through Holybourne, turned up Cuckoo's Corner and through Bonham's Farm, West End Farm, downhill back to Holybourne, back onto London Road to Anstey Park for the finish.
Alton mayor Graham Hill was present to set the runners on their way, and greet them with medals and trophies upon their return.
