SANTA’S Grotto, with Glenda the Fairy helping hand out the gifts, was one of the highlights of the Christmas fayre at Alton’s Bushy Leaze Nursery.

Attracting parents, grandparents and friends of the nursery youngsters, there was also a special visit from representatives from The Watercress Line and the children gave the train company folk letters for Santa which will travel by train to a special posting box.

Each young letter writer at the Eastbrooke Road nursery will get a reply from a Santa.

There was a good variety of stalls and refreshments and the tombola and the raffle helped boost the £750 raised for nursery funds, according to one of the fayre organisers.
