A FORD Transit van got stuck in a ford on the Titchborne Brook near Alresford on Friday.

The driver was following his sat nav directions. He had come off the A31 Winchester Road and was heading for a property off Jacklyns Lane to fit a new wardrobe.

But instead of going through the town, the driver was directed along the Titchborne Road, past Ladycroft, and via Spring Gardens – a single track which crosses the ford.
