WITH education very much in the news recently, it is timely that Alton U3A’s first monthly talk in its new year programme is on the subject of school inspections.

Dr Frances Hurd will speak about her 19 years’ experience of observing lessons as a school inspector and provide information about what has been learned from the inspection process.

The talk takes place at Alton Community Centre at 2pm on Friday, September 15. Entry is £1 and the talk is open to the public.
