EAST Hampshire District Council are investigating activities at Greatham Stores, near Selborne, following an article in The Sun newspaper under the heading 'Sex Shows in Village Shop'.

The article, printed on Sunday, April 14, showed revealing photos of former Greatham Village Stores worker Catalina Afloarei, 25, which were stills of webcam footage taken inside the shop.

Stuart Wedgbury, EHDC environmental health manager, said: "We are aware of the national press articles concerning Greatham Village Stores. The premises has a licence from the District Council limited to permitting the sale of alcohol. We are concerned about the allegations and are currently investigating the matter with partner agencies."

A spokesman added that there are licensing issues as the premises does not have an adult entertainment licence.
