THE British Olympic Association (BOA) has confirmed that Alton showjumper Peter Charles will represent Team GB at the London 2012 Games.

Based at Bentworth, Peter Charles,52, will be riding (Murka's) Vindicat W owned by Olga White, Tara Charles and Team Murka.

He will be joined in the all-male showjumping team by Nick Skelton, Ben Maher, and Scott Brash.

Peter will be making his Olympic debut for Great Britain, having previously competed for Ireland on his past two Olympic appearances in Barcelona in 1992 and Atlanta in 1996.

The first round of the showjumping competition starts on August 4, with the team competition running from August 5-6 and the individual final taking place on August 8.
